2010 Newsletter
Hello all and welcome to the
2010 horseshoe tournament season! Whoo
Hoo! Can I get a Ringer Six!! (okay,
that may be a tad bit too much enthusiasm), but hey, can you blame me? You know you like saying it too! J
I don’t know if you’ve noticed
or not (not that you could really miss all of the navy, gray, and hot pink MCHC
shirts on the courts), but our Club has grown by leaps and bounds in the last
year and this current year. We
currently have 83 members with about 65 of those actively participating in
tournaments! We have 11 juniors, 1
cadet, and 2 other juniors who have just moved up to the adult level. This sport has provided such a great opportunity
for getting our families active in a sport together and just getting outside in
the beautiful sunshine. We couldn’t
have a Club without you, so many thanks to all of you!

MCHC NOW ACCEPTS PAYMENTS VIA PAYPAL! You can now
pay your tournament fees on the MCHC website.
Be sure and click “Home” on the webpage and PayPal will be down on the
bottom left.
REGISTRATION
It’s time to pay your $10 annual
dues too (remember Juniors and Cadets are free). Please mail your check payable to MCHC to P.O. Box 112,
Willis, TX 77378. If your contact
information needs to be updated, please remit the attached form with your dues
payment.
MONTGOMERY COUNTY FAIR AND
RODEO
The Montgomery County Fair and
Rodeo horseshoe tournament will be held on Saturday, April 17, 2010, and the
first annual Juniors Horseshoe Pitching Contest will be held on Friday, April
16, 2010 with sign-up at 4:00 p.m. and first round of pitchin’ beginning at
5:00 p.m. We’re really excited to see
the kids getting an opportunity to participate at the fair and hope it will be
a success.
MCHC
TOURNAMENT
MCHC will be hosting THREE
tournaments this year. The first
one will be held in Bryan on Saturday, April 24, 2010. We will be serving hotdogs and
hamburgers. The Club will be purchasing
the food items, but would appreciate any donations for soft drinks and water. If you will be donating any drinks, please
e-mail MCHC@consolidated.net and
let us know.
Other tournaments will be June
19th and October 30th (Halloween Havic), both
in Buffalo.
NOTE:
All of our tournaments will
be PRE-PAID tournaments.
